Frontier Regional Student Convention – EARLY ENTRIES INFO

Dear Friends,

Jesus said in John 13:35, “By this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye have love one toward another.”  I had a man tell me once, “I love you because the Bible tells me to love you, — but I don’t like you!”  Please believe me when I tell you, I like you also!  And as we work together for our Lord and Saviour Jesus, and for these precious Students, may they see the love of Christ in all of us!!!

Early Entries are due into my office 2121 Gun Club Rd. SW – Albuquerque, NM 87105 — by this Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 — or they must be postmarked by midnight this Friday if coming via mail – (UPS or Fed EX) from out of town.  I just sent a special email to 10 schools / homeschools, that have indicated that they are planning to come this year to Regionals, but have not registered yet.  There is still time to register, and also plenty of time to drop/add events, but it must be done soon, so we can prepare and decide on certain events such as SS & SCI Projects, if we have to use a bigger room or 2 rooms etc.

Below are some links for your use – please watch the video once again and show it to your students – this will help them get excited to come!  The video was made to excite and inform your students – it took a lot of work – so please use it — especially at this time!!!

Please feel free to forward this email to those that you know may be interested.

FYI – We will be moving the Tuesday morning Track Meet to Magdalena High School Track – 30 miles up HWY 60, due to the Socorro HS track being removed and replaced – and will not be available to us that week.  The elevation there is 6500′ and will be cooler (perhaps much cooler) – so plan now to be on time for the Tuesday morning devotion, and also please be prepared to make the drive with your students on that Tuesday morning.  (Be on time, and dress accordingly)

Pray for this wonderful event – I do know the speaker but ACE has asked me not to tell you – he has been here before and is one of my favorite Frontier Regionals guest Preachers, so pray for him, and his family and all he is involved in – leading up to and during this week.

If I can help you in any way – please feel free to call me – 505-877-0535 – office — 505-977-5885 – cell.

Frontier Regional Student Convention – 2018

Dear Friends,

Hebrews 6:10   For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Using His word as a greeting is so much better than mine, but please know that you are appreciated in all that you do to make the Frontier Regional Student Convention a success.

We had our Coordinator’s meeting today and the biggest thing we did was that we prayed for your schools, and your Students, and for God to please bless us again as He has in the past.  We did decide on just a couple of changes, one being the Consecutive Word Count event, is to be scheduled with Mrs. Yazzie, throughout the day, on Tuesday & Wednesday.  We have waited until Thursday afternoons in the past, but have been blessed to have several students quote whole chapters, or several chapters, which we absolutely love and want to encourage; but at the same time – we want to make sure we have enough time for this wonderful event.  The other minor change, is we will not be able to use the Socorro High School track, due to it being totally replaced and construction going on that week of their Spring break.  We will either use Belen High School, or Magdalena High School’s track.  This will require help and understanding on everyone’s part.  We feel that if every one cooperates, we can do this without too much scheduling difficulties.  The key is to get to the track in a timely manner, and to start as soon as we get there, and make a 100% effort to keep things moving – once we get started, to concentrate one the track meet, and quickly reporting to events.  This also requires us to start lunch at 12:00 instead of 11:30, and to push back the Large Ensembles to 1:00 instead of 12:15.  That is pretty much it as far as scheduling is concerned, and the attached 2018 Schedule already reflects these changes.

Brother James leeder is going to be the new Athletic Coordinator as Brother Tim Johnson will be assisting me and preparing to be the Coordinator next year.  We also will have a new Registrar this year, as Mrs. Knudsen’s daughter will be having a new baby due that same week (I believe).  With a new Registrar, we will need you (those who are in charge of your school’s registration) to make sure to get all your Students and their events entered into the program as soon as possible, and to go over & over them, so we won’t have to make several changes once you get to Socorro.  We appreciate all that Mrs. Knudsen has done in the past, and wish her daughter and the baby all of our(‘s) best!   —- This link is for you to print out your own copy of the Convention Guidelines

Again, we need to get all schools and students registered as soon as possible – and if you have any questions or concerns, after you have read the guidelines 3 times – out loud – then feel free to call me (Just kidding — kinda).

I will do my best to keep you informed as we get closer and closer to March 12.

Your Fellow Servant,

Pastor Boggs

Frontier Regional Student Convention – March 12-16, 2018

Dear Friends,

Psa. 133:1, says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethern to dwell together in unity.”  Besides the simple fact that God blesses our efforts at the Frontier Regional Student Convention, certainly one major contributing factor is all of our willingness to put up with each other, at least for 4 or 5 days in March.  Please agree with me, that we do have a special bond, (a very rare commodity these days) of working together toward a collective goal – of ministering to these Students at our Regionals!  Let me start by saying thanks again for your special part that each of you play in this combined effort.  I could go on & on about this, but I know it is not me.

That being said, I have asked Pastor Tim Johnson to be the Regionals Coordinator beginning next year (2019) and to work with me this year as a time of transition.  I appreciate so much A.C.E. giving me the opportunity to be a part of this great ministry, I will be forever grateful, and plan to support Frontier Regionals and ACE Conventions in the future, it’s just time for new blood.  There are no problems here at all, I told A.C.E. three years ago that last yearwould be my last, so this year I plan to follow through on that decision, — but let’s have a great one this year!  🙂

The Regionals online – Registration program is up and ready to go.  There is a $50 Registration fee that must be paid up front in order to use this program (that everyone must use), but it seems to work very good.  If you remember a few years ago, I told you to just be patient, and they would work out the kinks, well; they did (to their credit), so just get into it and register your Students.  This program does a lot of good things, you can print out individual Students events lists, and a whole School group summary for yourself, etc.  Be like that old commercial about Mikey, “Try it, you’ll like it.”  We also will have a new Registrat this year, Mrs. Knudsen’s daughter will be having a baby that week (I wished they would have checked with me first – but they didn’t :).  So I will need everyone to make sure to really make an effort to make sure to get your school promptly and properly Registered – using the online Registration program.  Mrs. Knudsen was very good at her position, and we appreciate her so very much!

As we get closer to the event, I will bombard you with info and emails, but if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email these and I will respond as quickly as possible.  Janie and I are going on a cruise from the 11th to the 22nd of January, so I won’t be able to respond during that time.

We will have a Coordinators meeting on Friday January 26th, at 11:00 am, and will provide lunch for them, as we will meet to pray and work out details — (for Pastor Dale Storm, Sister Margo Perez and Pastor Joshua Lehman – I will arrange a conference call with you on that day during this time).  This meeting has proven to be a bonding time, and a meeting of the minds, as the Coordinators do so many things, and are so vital to our Regionals.  Please pray for this meeting, and if you are in the Albuquerque area on that day, you are welcome to attend, but please let me know so I am prepared for you as well.

Firstly, certainly not lastly, please pray every day for this years Frontier Regional Student Convention.  Pray for the unity mentioned above, for our Guest Speaker (which I do not know – yet), for the Holy Spirit of God to move upon all of us through the devotion times & the rallies, for safety, and that we all will purpose to work together to bring our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ glory, during this effort!

Frontier Regional Student Convention – March 12-16, 2018

Dear Friends,

Jesus said in, Matt. 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  As we work together in the days and weeks to come, may all we do glorify our Lord and Saviour!

Attached, please find the general information for this years Frontier Regional Student Convention, and our theme “Furthering the Cause” poster on pdf.  The online registration program will be available by the middle of January.  I have also attached a complete newly updated guidelines link for you, and the events list – so that your students may begin now selecting their events.  (They should already have them picked out)

We have 17 weeks from now till we gather in Socorro, New Mexico.  Please feel free to use the promotion video to inform students, parents and staff, and you may place it on your website or use it in any to promote interest, and to explain what Frontier Regional is all about.  (Thank you Brother Leeder for producing this for us.)

If you need more information or have questions, please feel free to call or (preferably) email me.

2017 Jr. Regional Convention Warp Up

Dear Friends,

1John 4:19 says, “We love Him, because He first loved us.”  He did bless us last week, and you also showed your love, and it is easy to love those who love you, — so thanks!

Lots of activities and so many people.  We had 147 students who registered on Thursday, but we fed 306 for lunch that day, so many that we ran completely out of food, but scrambled and worked it out – WHEW!  Many came to observe, and check out the happenings, and everyone did so well, again, – To God be the Glory.

Attached, please find a financial report for the Convention. Last year we bought extra ribbons that we used this year, we had popcorn & some cotton candy & snow cone supplies stored from last year, and just didn’t have the expenses this year as compared to last year.  We had  over $600 after everything was paid for, and will divide that between ACE Frontier Regionals and our Church.  I will use this money to sponsor 2 students to come to Regionals, from schools that have never-ever been before, just to get them to come for the first time.  The rest I will leave in our Church’s account to offset cleaning supplies, and utilities, etc.

Thanks again for all your prayers and help during those 2 special days, it was a joy to host you!
