After several years of intense research and a lot of hard effort on the part of the entire staff at RGCA, we finally made it. This accreditation now puts our school on equal ground with any school in the United States, and qualifies our graduates for scholarships and grants that are available nationwide. It will still be up to the parents to work with their students to begin the process of acquiring those scholarships, but now the door is open that should make it so much easier to find opportunities.

Please keep the church and school in prayer, as we go forward, ’Training up our children in the way he should go,…’ – Prov. 22:6

We will keep you posted on developments as the days go by, as to tuition, early registration, diagnostic testing dates, and so much more.

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM FOLLOW UP LETTER

Dear Friends,

It was a joy to have you here at Journey to Bethlehem, and I trust you had a great experience.  We had nearly 2, 000 people attend, and over 700 of those raised their hands at the manger scene and said they had accepted God’s free gift of Salvation.  That means at least 1 out of 3, who receive this letter were counted in that number, of those who received Jesus Christ as their Savior, and also received a New Testament, as they made that public, by raising their hands and saying they were not ashamed of that decision!  It is to you, if you were one of the 700, that I write this letter.  

 When I got savved, no one even tried to help me in mynew found faith, in Jesus Christ!  The only thing I was told was to never be ashamed of that decision, and I haven’t . I did not know the bible. I did noot attend any kind of church, nor did my family.  When I turned 18, I left the hills of Virginia, and went to Florida, and iimmediately I started going to a different churches.  Sunday after Sunday,  I would drive down Orange Blossom Trail in Orland, and stopping in at a different one each week.  Finally, Ifound a church that used the Word of God, in every part of the services.  This is the first  church that I returned to for the second week in a row, then a third and continued going there.  Eventually, I understood, that if I was daved, and wanted to be a part of that church,  then I needed to get Baptized, which was very exciting, to thin I could do what the Bible said, so I did.

Understand that I was saved, and on my way to Heaven for 2 years before I was baptized, but really I wished someone had explained it to me before.  Again, baptism does not save us, or ge us more saved, or keep us saaved, it is simply an act of abedience once a person does get saved.  It is one of the 2 ordinances of the New Testament churches,  the other being the Lord’s Supper, (or Communion),   But baptism and membership in a particular church, comes before Communion, and should be observed by those who are members in that particular Church, or body of Believers.  You might ask, “Why is this guy telling me all this stuff, in a leatter like this”?  Shouldn’t it just be light heartedm and friendly, and inviting us to come to visit them in their services sometime?  You just don’t know me, and if I’m going to put a stamp on a letter, I want it to say something, and mean something.

I’m hoping that this letter will help you, not me, or this Church, to me that would be selfish.  If we will do God’s business and try to help people really make a chane in their earthly life, then God will takecare of thie preacher, and this Church.  So I want to strongley encourage you to get in a Bible preaching Church.  One who reallu uses the Bible as the source of Taith and Practice, a Church that uses the kind of Bible that you reccceived here, the King James Version.  Amd one that soes not reach thatt baptism saves you, or that you can lose your eternal life, or speaks in tongues.  Those teaching are not in the Wor of God, those are manmade.  Church is not a place for entertainment, but a place to learn about God, and Jesus, and how to live one’s life, in a way that pleases Christ, not our flesh!

Rio Grane Baptist Church is not the only good church in town, there are several who hold thes doctrines, so I’m telling you that you ought to find one of these of kinds of churches and get involvedthere.  If you con;t find one in the area you live in, then please con to our church, (you know where we are now) and we will make you welcome, and we would be glad to discuss Baptism and church membership with you.

Our Jouney to Bethlehem was our Christmas gift to the South Valley, and we are very interested in this community.  We did not go to the media in a huge way just to get people to come, we focused on the community around us, and we are concerned for you, our neighbors and friends.  We have many different kinds of minstries to offer right here.  Next year you can be involved in JTB, but we also have a Christian School (fully accredited), soccer, basketball, cheerleadin and flag football and a youth program, plus others.  We want you to consider coming her, not necessarily  to be served, but to enrich your own life, by serving others!

What could we do to help you and your family?  Is there something that I or my staff could do for you to help you, in any way?  We don’t give money for rent or cell bills, but we do sometine have food available in time of need.  What we really have to offer you is a place of acceptance, and a place where you con serve our Lord Jesus Christ, righ along with us.  We all are the same, at best – we are just sinners, and we claim to have been saved by faith.

In closing please, please, If you heard to plan of salvation, and have not yet pray that prayer I lead the group in at the manger scene, please consider doing so now.  Perhaps you got one of those bools fsrom the table in the gym, and have been thinking about trusting Jesus as your Savior, and now understand better what we were trying to get you to do, then do it today.  This is really what Journey to Bethlehem is all about, it is about trusting Christ Jesus, the one who was born to die to be your personal Savior.
